It is with great regret that we reluctantly announce that our lovely and unique
Mazda Bongo is for sale.

We purchased "ARNIE" in 2010, and for a number of reasons [move of house, purchase of a narrowboat] just haven't been able to make the use of it that we had hoped, covering only 3,500 miles since then.

The previous owner had a beautiful makeover by a Bentley upholsterer throughout - in a light grey, soft touch vinyl/leatherette with red piping; a unique and distinctive Red Vee is inset into the driver and passenger seats.
Similarly, there is an anchored storage box and back rest in the same material with red piping.
The storage box can be used with cushions to convert to an additional single bed, whilst the bed space in the roof tent sleeps two in comfort.
There is ample storage in the kitchen area, at eye-level, and below the sink and gas hob, and also next to the fridge recess.
Walnut effect dashboard, electric window switch panel, hand brake grip, and steering wheel cover make classy additions to the internal cockpit arrangement.

History:
Since I bought the van in 2010, the Bongo specialist Ian Taylor (Stoke-on-Trent) carried out the following major work for me in January 2011:
- New replacement cylinder head
- New replacement thermostat
- New replacement water pump
- Second-hand refurbished replacement heater matrix
Services have been carried out by:
- Bongo specialist garage Wheel Quick of Wigan
- My local garage Just Affords of Rugeley, who have also replaced drop links, and bushes and covers to lower suspension arm ball joints, fitted a new alternator in August 2013, and a lower heater hose.
The van has been mainly used as a second car, with only occasional camping trips to Anglesey, Fishguard, Malvern, and Nantwich.
In 2011 the van was a handy storage unit as we sold our house and lived temporarily on our boat in a marina before moving into our current home.
We have covered only approximately 5,500 km [3,500 miles] in the van since I bought it.
